NIGHT SHELTER

The housing crisis in Pembrokeshire has resulted in a waiting list for emergency accommodation. So in response to the increasing number of rough sleepers in the county, the local authority commissioned a Night Shelter provision.

The shelter can accommodate up to 15 people, and opens when the Council's Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) is activated. This could be for freezing temperatures, severe wind, rain or heat. When activated, the Night Shelter opens at 7pm until 8am the following morning, occupants have a hot meal in the evening, breakfast the following morning and access to support agencies and practical help during their stay.

To access this accommodation, call the Housing Support Gateway on 01437 775268 or if it's after 5pm, the Council's out of hours team on 03003 332222.
